What our clients are saying
Mian & Associates Law Firm has worked with many oil & gas, engineering, healthcare companies to staff new employees. These small to mid-size companies have consulted our law firm in regards to how to proceed on hiring someone that is not from the United States.
In one case, Mian & Associates Law Firm worked with a software development company that wanted to hire a new software engineer. The individual that qualified for this position required an extension of his H-1B status in order to complete the work the software company was offering. Mian & Associates Law Firm prepared all necessary documents and sent it off for approval from the USCIS. However, our firm received an RFE – Request for Evidence. Our firm was able to handle the RFE in a timely manner which allowed the client to stay in the United States for an extended period of time working with his new employer.
Our firm has also worked with clients that want to change their status. An Environmental Engineer was hired to work for a company and at the time she was in the United States as an F-1 OPT - Optional Practical Training. She needed to change her status to H-1B to stay and complete her work in the United States. Mian & Associates Law Firm gladly took her case and completed all immigration work necessary.
Mian & Associates Law Firm also has experience working with clients that are laid off. A man worked for a company as an Application Engineer. He was laid off by the company and left unemployed while he was still on an H-1B for that company. If he was not able to find another sponsor he would not be able to stay in the United States legally any longer. However, he found a new company that would sponsor him for his qualifications. Our firm was able to walk him through the transfer process allowing him to work in the United States.
Our firm also works with clients and takes them through the Green card Process. People can become a lawful permanent resident through the Greencard Process with a sponsorship. We take our clients through the recruitment process all the way to adjustment of status. EB3 for other workers (unskilled workers) is a popular immigration path for many of our clients. The sponsoring company benefits by reducing turnover and building a strong workforce.
