The Trump Administration has plans to do away with work permits for H-1B spouses

The Trump Administration plans to put an end to granting work permits to the spouses of H-1B holders. At this time, it is unclear how the administration would put a stop to the distribution of the work authorizations. However, Save Jobs USA filed a lawsuit against The Department of Homeland Security. They believe work permits should be approved by Congress and not through a rule.  H-1B spouses are able to continue to apply for work permits during Trump’s Administration.
